A Commitment to Quality, Safety and Efficacy
As our name identifies, VitaMedica is based on the concept of using naturally-based products under the guidance of a medical professional. We research, formulate, manufacture and distribute pharmaceutical-grade nutraceuticals and cosmeceuticals that are intended for use under clinical supervision. We offer an integrated group of natural products with targeted clinical applications. We have focused our product offerings in two primary areas: nutraceuticals for surgical patients and naturally-based products for age management clients.
At VitaMedica, we have incorporated a number of guiding principles. First and foremost, every VitaMedica product is manufactured to exacting standards. Secondly, we have designed our products to be exceedingly safe for all indicated patients. Thirdly, to ensure effectiveness, our products are formulated with nutrients in the correct form and with the appropriate dosage to produce the intended results. QUALITY
VitaMedica has adopted a pharmaceutical-level commitment to quality that enables us to produce reliable natural medicines backed by solid research and scientific evidence. We do this so our physician partners can recommend our products with complete confidence.
Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). VitaMedica nutraceuticals are produced in a licensed manufacturing facility that strictly adheres to Current Good Manufacturing Practices. Products provided in tablet, capsule, and powder form are made in a manufacturing facility licensed by the State of California as a drug manufacturer and registered with the Food and Drug Administration as a drug manufacturing establishment.
Active Ingredients Testing. Active ingredients used in VitaMedica products are selected based on their purity, bioavailability, documented actions, and safety characteristics. Raw materials are purchased exclusively from trustworthy vendors who provide a detailed Certificate of Analysis for every batch of material. These certificates confirm that active components, toxic elements, and microbial content are within specified and acceptable parameters. Purity and potency of selected raw materials are verified through independent testing laboratories by raw material vendors. All incoming raw materials undergo quarantine, inspection, and evaluation.
Certificate of Analysis to Ensure Product Quality. VitaMedica products are free of artificial flavors, preservatives, and colorings. Naturally-derived, inert, excipient materials are used in very small amounts to allow the tableting and encapsulation process. Products in tablet form are protected with an inert, water-soluble cellulose coating that dissolves readily upon ingestion, thus facilitating tablet disintegration time. We minimize allergy-producing ingredients or additives such as wheat, corn, soy, yeast, and dairy, and use environmentally-friendly packaging – our blue PETE bottle, which is readily recyclable.
SAFETY
In general, natural health products, such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, herbs, and other nutritional supplements, have an extraordinarily safe usage history. For VitaMedica’s product line, safety is enhanced by ensuring quality manufacturing and informing patients about the proper use of each product.
Quality leads to Safety. Quality assurance procedures directly correlate with patient safety. Safety follows quality because patients can be assured that product label claims are accurate and dosing is correct. For every VitaMedica formulation, we verify the purity, potency, and bioavailability of the product. During production, each product is tested, tracked with a lot number and date-coded to ensure product freshness. Following the production run, a Certificate of Analysis is issued and is available to our physician partners upon request.

- Microbiology testing to quantitate bacteria, yeasts, and molds and determine the absence of harmful pathogens like E. coli and Salmonella.
- Measuring key compounds to establish their potency, an important step to ensure our products will offer the indicated benefits.
- High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) testing to separate vitamins and compounds so that they can be accurately measured independently of each other.
- Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer utilization to analyze minerals.
- Dissolution and disintegration testing to measure the length of time the product takes to break down after ingestion, which in turn determines its bioavailability or absorption by the body.
Patient Dosing Information. Similar to pharmaceuticals, every VitaMedica product includes a product description, indications, contraindications, benefits, dosing guidelines and ingredient information.

Whenever possible, VitaMedica uses nutrients that have demonstrated clinical benefits.
